bummer skool

just got back from my first class of the condensed summer school session. the course is entitled "principles and issues in information technology." it will be an overview course that breaks down fundamental aspects of the way that e-commerce has affected, and will continue to affect, the business model. other issues will be more specific to the innerworkings of networking, which includes a small group project that will focus on planning the implementation of a campus-wide wireless network and preparing a report on potential productivity assets to the campus patrons (professors, students, administration).

the syllabus has a lot of work crammed into the next 5 weeks, but the subject matter is of particular interest, and the work therein will prove to be exciting and beneficial. i'm looking forward to the enlightening challenge.
