hhhrrooccc, hello!

at what point do we say something to the neighbors about their parrot?

this inane bird has been excessively vocal the past few weeks, and last night the damn bird was squawking and helloing until after 11pm. at first it was a bit of a novelty, now it is becoming a bit of a menace.

the sultry weather may accentuate these feelings of unrest for this feathered foe indeed, but damn...

the better of me...

...the east coast has gotten.

idle time is not to be found a great abundance of, i find. is this good? is this bad?

"get it done" is a fine philosophy, but down time is essential, too, no?

perhaps this is my iowa nature seeping out of my pores. the reflective time that i find is usually atop a bicycle saddle or laced up in running shoes. gettin' it done while gettin' it done.

wweeeee-rhhuuuuu-wweeeee-rhuuuu

maintaining the theme of emergency vehicles on our street... last night there were was another set four or five doors down. don't know what what the hubbub was about.

i feel like the way that we see emergency vehicles in our urban landscape is comparable to when someone out in a remote setting sees wildlife, say, a deer. they both become part of your mundaninty, when you see them you're not sure what to do so you just gawk, and when they seem to be going somewhere fast you get out of their way.

an ambulance, the urban buck.
